EXPLORE YOUR LEADERSHIP REFLECTION
1. What is taking up your attention?
What leadership challenge is taking up most of your thinking or energy right now?
What is happening? Who is involved? Why does it matter?
2. Where are you stepping in?
Where might you be doing, deciding or solving more than you need to?
Notice the moments when people come back to you for answers, reassurance or decisions.
3. What could someone else begin to own?
Is there something you are currently holding that another person could begin to think through, decide or take responsibility for?
What might they reasonably be ready to own?
4. What makes that difficult?
What might make it hard for you to step back?
Perhaps clarity, confidence, trust, habit, risk or simply the feeling that doing it yourself is quicker.
5. What could you try differently?
What is one small shift you could make in this situation?
You might ask a different question, pause before giving an answer, clarify a boundary or create space for someone else to think.
6. What will you notice?
How will you know whether that shift is helping?
What might you notice in yourself, in the other person or in the way the work gets done?
One shift is enough to start.
You do not need to change everything at once.
One different question, one different decision or one moment of stepping back can begin to change the pattern.
Notice what happens.
